Bio:
History would suggest Mars is simply the adoption of the Greek deity Ares, the Brutal War God. Though this is merely an unfortunate side-effect of Mars's role in Roman society. In fact, Mars's history dates back to a time that is lost to human history.
The earliest source for Mars would suggest he once served in a capacity to Perkwunos. A thunder-deity akin to Thor & Zeus. A hammer fueled by the storms that would shape lands. A striker often cited with strength only matched by a few.
The Lord of Oak would derive from it and Mars would be defined by this. A forest guardian. This would remain stable, but as time on, Mars would encounter others. Most notably, deities of other realms.
Ares would come to be the most associated with Mars, however, the Greek would come to meet one who was the embodiment of both he and his father. For a Forest Deity, Mars possessed a talent for both combat and leadership. As a result, Mars would split his identity as more of the Greek followers would seemingly associate him with both gods.
Jupiter would become a secondary title and false stories would be formed to explain the presence of both Mars & Jupiter. Even some, would explain Mars fathering the Roman people with a story from a Hellenistic perspective.
Mars would roll with this and speaking with the Hellenistic deities, but as time went on: he'd move with his people. Cross paths and try to record the stories of other pantheons. For humans, they'd do the same. Epithets of Mars would become the Records of Gods of the era.
Conquest, trade, invasions, the list goes on. Mars would embrace the records of other pantheons and forge bonds. In a sense, the humans would know him for war, yet Mars would become a scholar.
He loved humans as even their war was joined by love. For every sin, a virtue would emerge.
His rule would be usurped by the likes of Christianity. Yet, his temples would come to be where it was preached. Even after they assumed a new God, Mars had become society's symbol of war and masculinity.
Mars had become a symbol and that symbol would be the same identity as men. Mars would not be seen as a deity, but he remained among those who carried the identity.
While gods would only see the destruction and rot created by humanity, Mars would be fascinated by it. Their methods to destroy, conquer and annihilate each other were only matched by their engineering, innovation, and desire to overcome obstacles.
Though as the gods gather, it seems the vagabond is summoned. He may not be as beloved, but he desires to see if humanity will overcome the obstacle before them or perish.

Personality
Mars can be an analytic man. Passionate in his desire to learn & understand. However, when presented with battle, he takes it as a chance to exchange words and thoughts. In fact, he seems to have a love for trying out the techniques and tools of mankind by employing them as a deity.
For his position on humanity, he wants to see if they'll flourish or perish. He's not a fan of divine intervention after all these years. Notably, since he is no longer perceived like he was during the era of Rome.
As for his relations with other gods, he is seemingly on the best grounds with the Greek pantheon. Notably, due to adopting and trying to incorporate their beliefs into his own pantheon. Nordic deities are a bit more hostile. He seems to be on the worst grounds with the Celtic deities, most likely as a result of their followers' conflicts. Hindu and other pantheons seem to be neutral.
Powers & Feats
Epithets
The history of gods forged into epithets of Mars. These titles can manifest into an arsenal of tools and powers that allow Mars to channel the talents of other divine entities. He has rarely used them, but their names are recorded even in human history. In some cases, they are the only records of gods no longer among the pantheons.
An example would be Neton. When activated, Mars can wield the power of the sun. In a sense, Mars temporarily adopts the status of a sun deity. Though Mars will only use it for a brief time, citing that it takes a toll on his body and insulting a fallen deity.
Physicality
Mars may not look imposing upon initial glance, due to his age and talents: he is to not be underestimated. In fact, he can be compared to the likes of Zeus & Thor without using an epithet. Though due to his more relaxed nature, he can be viewed as a more flexible counterpart.
Forest
Originally a forest guardian, Mars is naturally gifted in agriculture. Though when applied to combat, he is naturally gifted at using trees to maneuver and even modify. That said, he is no landscaper.
Durability
Despite some myths, Mars is quite durable. Most notably, he can summon a shield that can detect murderous intent. As such, it may be ideal to try and use grappling techniques as he is more of a weapon user.
